It’s a lofty title, and this is one movie that lives up to it. Did you know that there is a secret, that once you know about it and how to apply it, you can have anything your heart desires? Millions of dollars, your dream house, your perfect relationship, your dream career … all must obey your command, if you know the secret.

So just what is the secret? It’s something you’ve probably heard before, but sometimes the simplest truths are overlooked to the detriment of the masses. So instead of coming right out and telling you, we’re going to play a little game. Guess the secret. 

A high school girl imagines going to a certain university. She applies to only that university when all the other students are applying to multiple schools. She knows what it feels like to walk on her university’s campus, she knows the layout of the campus, and how empowered she feels when she thinks about it. She feels it’s the only university she wants to attend, and she knows that if it doesn’t happen, then she’ll find something else. She gets in!

Remember a time in your life when you really, truly wanted something or needed something in your life, and it came into being. In fact, it may have come into being even better or easier than you had imagined! Whether you know it or not, you were using the secret.

Did you guess it yet? It’s a LAW of the universe. It’s the LAW OF ATTRACTION. Yes, this may sound simple, but it’s quite profound. The way in which you think most consistently is what will appear before you. Look around you. You are looking at what YOU have created. All your belongings are yours because you created them, first in thought, then in feeling, and finally in form.

The Secret, by Rhonda Byrne, is a movie that explains this simple yet profound concept in a very straightforward and generous way. Through interviews with scientists, leaders, authors, entrepreneurs, metaphysicians, and philosophers, as well as re-enacted scenarios,  The Secret shows us how we create our circumstances and our lives. Every concept is simple and elegantly expressed through the interviews, and the scenes that are acted out provide the backup to what has just been expressed. It’s generous because it’s so clearly given up to anyone who will pay attention. This is truly a SECRET that has been hidden and suppressed throughout the ages. The funny thing is it’s always been right in plain view for everyone to see. It works in our everyday lives, and we hear it in our stories.

We have stories like Aladdin and his lamp. Once Aladdin tends to the lamp, the genie appears and says, “You’re wish is my command." Aladdin represents humanity, and the genie represents the Universe (or God, Goddess, Yaweh, Jehovah, Allah, etc.). The bible says, “Ask, and ye shall receive.” The bible has many, many other references to this subject as well like, “Whatsoever a man soweth that shall he also reap.” Whether it’s a “good” thought or a “bad” thought makes no difference to the Universe!

You might want to argue and say, “No way would I create something bad in my life! Why would I want to create cancer, or a car crash, or any kind of strife?” Well, the answer lies in whatever is going on in your unconscious mind. In the foreword to The Master Key System by Charles F. Haanel, he writes, “Of course, mind creates negative conditions just as readily as favorable conditions, and when we consciously or unconsciously visualize every kind of lack, limitation and discord, we create these conditions; this is what many are unconsciously doing all the time.” If you fear something, that is what you are thinking about, and that is what the Universe will grant. “Your wish is my command.”

You could also say, “I’ve wanted a million dollars for years, but nothing has happened!” The problem with this situation is that you were coming from LACK! Your thought emphasis was on “want” so the universe gave you more “want.” The key is you must FEEL it; truly feel it. That’s the power or the juice for the creation. If you don’t really feel it, it won’t really happen. The key to feeling is believing. You must believe it’s possible even before it shows up. Have you heard the saying, “I’ll believe it when I see it”? Well, in order to create something, it needs to be the opposite way around: you must believe it and THEN you’ll see it!

And now for the really good news: You can create ANYTHING you want! With this knowledge, applied at the right time, you can turn anything negative around. You can begin RIGHT NOW! With your understanding, you can choose to have healthier THOUGHTS, which will create positive FEELINGS, and certainly lead to AMAZING RESULTS!
